Even if you don’t like the teams playing this year and you vow not to watch, come on, you know you will! You don’t want to miss that commercial everybody is talking about on Monday. Not to mention the half-time show! I hope it’s a winner this year!

Living in Wisconsin, I’m a bit bummed that my Packers won’t be in the Super Bowl this year. I’m sure you know by now it’s the Kansas City Chiefs vs. the San Francisco 49ers. I have no idea who to cheer for, but you better believe I’ll be watching!

Winter is long in Wisconsin! You gotta do fun stuff to get through it. Normally, I love getting family and friends together for game day parties. This year it will just be a party of two and our dog Arlo watching, but I’m still planning a fun game day spread! When it comes to hosting the Ultimate Super Bowl Bash, I’m kind of an expert. We do game day spreads every Sunday during football season. We eat, breathe, and sleep football! I’ve been throwing tailgate and game day parties since I moved here nearly 33 years ago. You got this! I can help!

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Dip

Let’s start with the must-haves. Every good Super Bowl Party must have some super good dips! My Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Dip is a WINNER! It’s all the flavor of buffalo wings without all the work.  Just throw it all in your crockpot, and it keeps nice and warm. That way, everybody can dip away when they get hungry. I serve it with lots of celery, carrots, and tortilla chips. It’s really good with pretzel crisps too!

Speaking of wings, if you’re making them, try it my way.   My Baked Buffalo Wings are crispy and delicious and so much easier and better for you than deep-fried!

Don’t forget the cool refreshing dip! It’s so much yummier when you make your own! My Best Ever Bleu Cheese dressing really is the best! Pick up some bleu cheese, and I bet you have everything else to make it.

Football Cheese Ball

Cheese balls are also really trending right now! I’m a cheesehead! We love cheese and cheese balls! My Cheddar, Bacon, and Beer Cheese Ball is so yummy!  Trust me; it’s easy to make, too, because that’s how I roll! You can easily get the recipe in half and make a smaller mini football cheese ball.

Really want to WOW everybody? Why not make a Stadium Snack Platter? Even the kids can help build it! And it’s totally doable! Click Super Bowl Recipes from The Cooking Mom to watch me assemble one!

Sweet Little Pigs
Brat Tub
Brat Bundles
Sausage and Cheese Chowder

You know what they say, “Everything is better with bacon.” I agree! Make bacon part of your game day spread! My Sweet Little Pigs are always a hit! Make plenty! They are always the first to go! My Layered BLT Dip is really good too!

Brats are also a game day party must! I have a secret way to do them so that I don’t have to be manning or, in my case, “womaning” the grill the whole game. That’s no fun! My Brat Tub recipe keeps those brats nice and cozy in beer, butter, onions, and kraut. Oh yeah! I’m getting hungry just thinking about it! You can create this tub in your slow cooker too!

Speaking of brats, you gotta make my Brat Bundles! Cheesy brats wrapped in crescent roll dough served with spicy mustard for dipping. These will get devoured!

I’ve got one more for you. When the New York Times was looking for the Ultimate Tailgate recipes, I knew I had a winner! I submitted my Sausage and Cheese Chowder. Yep, they agreed! It’s one of my all-time FAVES! Just throw it all in the slow cooker. It’s one of those just-dump-it-in recipes. Sausage, cheese, potatoes, and beer! What’s not to love? I serve it with chopped green onions, extra shredded cheddar cheese, and croutons. When my gang is hungry, they can just ladle this cheesy goodness into bowls and pile on the fixin’s!

Chili Bars are a fun way to go too! My Ranch Chili and Way Too Easy White Chicken Chili can all be made ahead. Set them out on your kitchen island or table with loads of chili fixin’s and let everybody just dive in when they are hungry.

Italian Beef Sandwiches
Slow Cooker Apple Bourbon Pulled Pork

Finally, a big messy sandwich is mandatory! From my Hot Italian Beef Sandwiches, Sloppy Joes for a Crowd, Hot Beef, BBQ Beef, Slow Cooker Meatball Subs, French Dips, or my Apple Bourbon Pulled Pork; they are all perfect for your Super Bowl bash! I love all these recipes because you can just throw them together in your slow cooker Sunday morning or even Saturday night! Put out some great buns and let everybody make their sandwiches when they get hungry. I can just sit on the couch and enjoy the game, the party, and the food!

Sliders are super fun and trendy too! I love them because they are so darn cute, and you can eat more than one! Oh yeah! LOVE that! From my classic Ham and Cheese Sliders to Bacon, Roast Beef and Swiss Cheese Sliders! If you like cheeseburgers, you’ll love my Cheeseburger Sliders! They are AMAZING and so much easier than flipping burgers the whole game!

Football Field Cake

The icing on the cake is a fun game-day-themed dessert! Why not have the kids help make and decorate a Football Field Cake?

Or, turn a boxed brownie mix into something really special! How cute are my Football Brownies! No cookie cutter required!

No time to bake?  No worries! How ’bout whipping up my Cookies and Cream Cheese Ball! It’s a dessert dip that’s crazy easy and so good! Shape it into a football and cover it with chocolate jimmies.  Now, pipe on the laces with some white frosting, and you’ll look like a total rock star! Serve it with pretzels, cookies, and even fresh fruit for dipping.   What fun! Makes a great game-day centerpiece too!

Cookies and Cream Cheeseball

Here’s hoping for a great game! Great commercials, a fun half-time show, and some super good memories! I always say it’s not about just cooking up food! It’s all about cooking up memories! I want to know what you’re cookin’! Please share!
