So happy to find this recipe! Mom used to make it and I couldn’t remember the ratios. Turned out just like hers! Mom was born in the 1920s of Irish decent. She however cooked with a strong Dutch influence. Thanks again for sharing.

  3. I have a really easy recipe for potato dumplings which I make everytime I make spareribs and sauerkraut. It is 1 cup mashed potatoes (can use instant) cooled, 1 egg, 1 cup flour and 1 tsp salt. Mix everything together and drop in your hot soup or spareribs. I cover them for like 10-15 min and then 10-15 min uncovered. They are so good! This recipe comes from my Great Aunts Emily and Helen. Hope you all enjoy them as much as I do. Yikes now I am hungry for them…..
