Quick Ranch Chili
Ingredients:
2 pounds ground beef or Johnsonville Italian Sausage
1 medium yellow onion, diced
1 green pepper, diced
1 packet dry Ranch dressing mix
1 packet chili seasoning mix
1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
1 can (28 ounce) diced tomatoes
1 can (14 ounces) tomato sauce
2 cans (15 ounces) chili beans
Splash of beer (optional)
Directions:
In a large pan brown the beef with the onions and peppers. Cook until beef is crumbly and no longer pink. Drain any grease. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Turn down heat and let simmer 15 to 20 minutes, stirring often. Serve in bowls with your favorite chili fixin’s.
Notes:
To add even more flavor I like to use Johnsonville Italian Sausage instead of ground beef. You can also change things up and use a pound of each ground beef and Italian Sausage, or lighten it up by using one pound of Italian sausage and one pound of ground turkey. It’s all delicious!
