Brat Bundles
Servings
Ingredients
- 1 tube (8 ounce) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 4 smoked cheddar bratwurst or smoked regular brats or polish sausages - Use the pre-cooked sausages
- 1 egg - beaten
Instructions
- Roll out crescent roll dough and separate in half at the seam, so you have two rectangles each with four triangles. Press the seams of the triangles together, and roll or press the dough out lengthwise. Place a sausage at one end of the rectangle and roll up in the dough. Press the seam to seal.
- Brush outside of dough with egg wash. Cut each roll into about one inch pieces.
- Place the bundles upright on a cookie sheet and bake in a preheated 425 degree oven for 12-15 minutes until golden.
- Great with spicy mustard for dipping.

These are the best!! My family loves them and they are so easy! Try an assortment of mustards and you will have a crowd pleaser!
Thanks for sharing Lynne. I love these too! -Amy
made these but they did not turn out like they were showing on newsletter. the crust did not brown or bake like it should and they were burnt on the bottoms. very disapointed.
Hi Bee. Hmm. I’ve made these a bunch. They always turn out great! I think you may have over baked them. Next time try lining your pan with foil and spraying it with cooking sprat or line pan with parchment. Bake in the middle rack. And check them after about 7 minutes. Every oven is different. They may bake quicker in yours. Hope that helps! Thanks! -Amy
These were very good, thanks for the great idea.
This was a hit at a birthday party we went toa few days ago. They were fantastic and everyone kept commenting on how great they were. We used cheddarwurst.
Have you tried this by rolling the brat in the dough whole and then cutting it before baking? Seems like it would be faster if it would work.
Good idea!
Girl…this recipe is super for a make ahead to share when camping!
