Ingredients:
1 loaf french bread, cut in cubes
1/2 pound deli or leftover ham, diced
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded swiss cheese
6 eggs
3 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups corn flakes, crushed
1/2 cup butter, melted
Directions:
Spray a 9×13″ baking dish with cooking spray. Spread half of bread cubes evenly in dish. Add ham and both cheeses. Cover with remaining bread cubes. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk and spices. Pour mixture evenly over bread, ham and cheese. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Before baking, combine cornflakes and butter for topping. Spread evenly over strata. Bake loosely covered with foil in a preheated 350 degree oven for 50 to 60 minutes. Uncover and bake another 15 to 20 minutes until eggs are completely set and top is golden. Wait 5 to 10 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.
