Mulled Apple Cranberry Cider

Ingredients
 

  • 2 quarts apple juice
  • 4 cups cranberry juice
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 whole cloves
  • Fresh cranberries

Instructions
 

  • Combine all of the ingredients together and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
  • Serve warm in mugs with fresh cranberries for garnish.

Notes

I usually double this recipe.  You can also make this in your slow cooker.   Just dump all the ingredients in and cook on high 2 to 3 hours.  Turn down to warm to keep warm while serving.  Optional extra garnishes are thin slices of orange, apple or lemon.
