2 cups raw cashews
2 cups raw pecan halves
2 cups raw whole almonds
6 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh rosemary
1 teaspoon kosher or sea salt
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spread nuts on a large baking sheet. Bake about 12 minutes or until toasted. Melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in cayenne, brown sugar, and rosemary. Put nuts in a small bowl. Gently toss nuts in butter mixture. Season with salt. Serve warm.
You can also spread nuts back on the baking sheet to let cool and serve later. They make great gifts packed in tins or gift bags. You can also substitute and use your favorite nuts.
