My Baby Graduates!

“How did it get so late so soon?” This quote from Dr. Seuss says it all! My youngest, my daughter Ireland, turned 18 and graduated from high school all in one weekend. Yikes! Big stuff! As you can see I was a proud momma!
Ireland graduated with high honors and an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Notre Dame Academy in Green Bay. The ceremony was beautiful! Thank goodness I brought lots of Kleenex.
Afterwards it was picture time. Here she is with some of the students in the International Baccalaureate program. It was an intense two-year program made up of a small group of students so they got pretty tight! It was sad knowing they may not see each other much after graduation.
Bob was pretty proud of his baby girl too!
When we got home, I was able to get both my kiddos together for a picture in front of the house. This is where I’d make them stand, in this same spot, for a first day of school picture every year.
Arlo, the dog wanted in on the action too!
It was a magical day! One I’ll never forget! These days it takes a village to raise good kids. From her teachers at Notre Dame Academy to coaches, grandparents, not to mention great friends and mentors, a huge thank you!
She did it! We did it!
In fact Ireland is already on her way! She’s working out of town all summer. Then, after that she starts college at Loyola University in Chicago in August. Both my kiddos will be college! I’m officially an empty nester! Talk about weird! Words can’t describe how I’m feeling!
I am so proud of you, Ireland! Congrats to the class of 2017!
Congrats Ireland! Best wishes , we know you will do great!
Thanks Denise! -Amy
