I woke up, showered quick, then out the door. Just a normal day until I pulled into the Starbucks drive-thru and noticed something was different. Not one, but two new coffees for Fall. I’ve had the Pumpkin Latte before and it’s really good but, it’s a little too early for pumpkin for me. Needs to be at least October before I can do pumpkin. But, the other new coffee sounded amazing. Should I try it or should I just stick with my usual. What the heck! Okay, I’m going for it! I’ll have a Venti Salted Caramel Mocha, extra hot. Kid you not, as I’m ordering it, I get a text from my producer, Abbey, another Starbucks addict like me. She says I’ve got to try the new salted caramel mocha. I text back, “doing it right now.” One sip and I’m in love! So, what’s in it? Espresso, chocolate syrup, toffee nut syrup, steamed milk and here’s the best part, it’s topped with whipped cream, caramel drizzle and sugar/salt mixture. Salt in coffee? Yep, just a bit of sea salt on top. Trust me it’s like that pinch of salt you add when you’re making homemade chocolate chip cookies, it works. Now I’m hooked. I do order it with a few less pumps of syrup because as is it’s a little on the sweet side. Seriously good though! Have you tried it?
