Ingredients:
1 box (2 pounds) Velveeta, cut in cubes
1/2 cup onion, finely diced (optional)
2 cans (10 1/2 ounces) condensed cream of celery soup
2 boxes (10 ounces) frozen chopped broccoli
1 cup chicken stock
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3 to 4 cups half and half
Cooking spray
Directions:
Spray crock pot with cooking spray or use a crock pot liner. Mix 3 cups milk or half and half and the remaining ingredients in slow cooker. Heat for about 2 to 3 hours on LOW, or until broccoli is tender. Stir every once in a while. If soup is too thick, add more half and half or some milk. Great served with extra shredded cheese and croutons on top or with warm bread for dipping.
Notes:
Notice the bowl this soup is in? You can eat it! Yep! Why not serve this soup or any of my soup recipes in my homemade Bread Bowls! They are so fun and easy to make!

After seeing you on Fox 6 making this recipe, I located your website and found the recipe. WOW! This is a great recipe and it was so simple! My family loved it! Though next time I will cut the ingredients in half since there are only the 3 of us at home and the recipe makes enough for 10 – 12 servings (approximately).
Watched you make this recipe on Fox6 news today. Can’t wait to make it.
Good recipe for Lent.
Also, love your bread bowls.
Made the Hungarian Sausage soup for lunch today and it was great. It was very simple to make with lots of flavor. The next time I make it I might add a small can of drained saurkraut and my son said I should put bacon in it.
