Hot Baked Crab Dip in Bread Bowl


Ingredients:
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
½ cup sour cream
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
1 pound chopped imitation crab
¼ cup scallions
Round Crusty Sourdough Bread

Directions:
Combine cheeses, sour cream, crab, scallions and pepper. Prepare bread bowl by cutting off the top crust and removing center. Wrap with foil and place on baking sheet. Fill center with dip mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes until warm. You can broil the top for a minute to brown. Serve with extra bread for dipping.

    Oh that looks so good! I have to try this recipe, I’ve only had clam chowder in a bread bowl, never crab dip. I’m a cheese-o-holic so I might add a few more varieties of cheese to it if I can do so without compromising too much of the crab flavor.

    could you please tell me on amy’s show she said in a container to have salt & pepper together how much salt was that & pepper. I know it was kosher salt & coarse pepper

      Hi Donna,

      The ratio is 1 cup of coarse kosher salt to 1 tablespoon of coarse black pepper.
