Sugar Cookie Icing

Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
2 to 3 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Food coloring (optional)
Directions:
Put 2 tablespoons milk in a bowl. Gradually whisk in powdered sugar, whisking until smooth. Then, add corn syrup and vanilla. Stir well. If too thick, add just a touch more milk until desired consistency. Use food coloring to color icing if you like. Spread frosting on cooled cookies. You can also dip cookies.
Notes:
Too little milk, and the icing won’t spread nicely. Too much milk, and it will be too thin.
Once the icing has starts to harden just a bit you can decorate with sprinkles. You can also let icing dry completely and then pipe on Royal Icing to decorate and then add sugars and sprinkles.
