Sugar Cookie Frosting

4 cups powdered sugar
3/4 cup shortening
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1/8 to 1/4 cup milk

Beat shortening and butter until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and just 1/8 cup of milk. Beat until smooth and fluffy. Add more milk if need. Color frosting with food coloring, if desired. This make a light, fluffy frosting. It’s great when spread on my Soft Sugar Cookies or Christmas Cookie Cut-outs. You can also use to frost cakes or cupcakes.
