Winter Treat
Okay how cute are these? My friend, Christine made these on my show. They are chocolate cupcakes that look like a mug of hot chocolate and they are so easy to make! Just take a box of devil’s food cake and make it according to package directions. Line cupcake tins with brown or natural colored cupcake liners, white would work too. If you can’t find those colors, no worries any color liner will work. Bake cupcakes according to directions. You should have about 24 cupcakes total. Let them cool. Use a can of whipped white frosting and mix it together with about a 1/2 jar of marshmallow crème. Pipe 3 dollops of the frosting on top of each cupcake to look like 3 marshmallows. Use a sifter to dust the top of each cupcake with a little cocoa powder. Next break up mini pretzels to make a handle for your mug. These are so cute and easy to make. Make them with the kids this winter! I always keep a box or two of cake mix in my pantry just in case! Seems like my kids always need cupcakes for something, and they always need them tomorrow.
