Cheesy Mashed Potato Casserole

Ingredients
- 6 – 8 medium potatoes
- 8 oz. cream cheese - softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup butter - melted
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Peel potatoes and cut into small cubes.
- Add to a large pot of boiling water.
- Boil for about 15 minutes, until potatoes are tender.
- Drain and mash.
- Add cream cheese, sour cream, melted butter and seasonings and stir until thoroughly combined.
- Spoon into a greased casserole dish.
- Cover potatoes with shredded cheese and bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes, until potatoes are warm and cheese is melted.

These potatoes sound very good. You say to use 6-8 potatoes med. size, so how much would they weigh when peeled? I have larger potatoes. Gail
