Hot Buttered Rum Batter

1 quart vanilla ice cream
1 lb. unsalted butter
1 lb. brown sugar
1 lb. powdered sugar
2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
1 tablespoon cinnamon

In a large bowl, let ice cream and butter sit at room temperature until soft. Add remaining ingredients and mix on medium speed until smooth. Return batter to freezer and use as needed. When ready to serve add 2 tablespoons of frozen mixture to a mug. Add a shot of spiced rum if desired and hot water to fill. Stir well. Garnish the top with whipped cream and cinnamon if you like.

This is still delicious even without the rum!
