This trip to Mackinac Island is REALLY special! Mackinac Island is one of my favorite places! If you’ve never been, you need to go! If it’s been awhile, it’s time to go back!
Mackinac Island was voted one of THE BEST and most magical islands in the world! Fall is such a beautiful time to visit the island!
In fall it’s even more spectacular! This trip is such a GREAT deal with so much included!
Mackinac Island is just magical! There are no cars on the island. It’s like you’ve stepped back in time. The island is filled with history, gorgeous scenery and amazing fall hikes and walks!
If you like great food, you are in for a treat! The island has amazing restaurants! Not to mention the best fudge EVER! We’ll experience it all.
We’ll stay 3 nights at the beautiful Island House Resort. It’s a National Historical Landmark and the oldest operating hotel on the island. The hotel is filled with so much history and charm.
There’s a huge porch overlooking the water where you can sit in a rocking chair and take in the gorgeous lake views and watch the horses clip clop by.
Our hotel has two wonderful restaurants on the property. It also has a big heated indoor pool and an outdoor hot tub!
The guests rooms all have modern amenities and are elegant and beautifully decorated.
The Island house is in the best location on Main Street. It’s just a short walk to shops and restaurants.
There’s so much to do on the island! You’ll have the option of taking a private carriage ride. You get to see so much gorgeous scenery like the famous Arch Rock, the historic Grand Hotel, beautiful victorian cottages and so much more! In fall it will be gorgeous!
Included in this trip is something else really special! We’ll get into the best fudge shop on the island early in the morning before they open. We’ll get to see how it’s made, which is so cool! We’ll get to sample a bunch too! This year my even got to try the fudge warm right off the marble slab. It was so yummy!
This is a bus trip with two different Wisconsin pickups. One just an hour north of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and one in the Green Bay, Wisconsin area. A super comfy motor coach will make stops to pick groups up in both Sheboygan and in the Green Bay area. If you’re flying to join us, it’s best to fly into the Green Bay airport on Oct. 12th Then you can spend a night at a Green Bay Area hotel and meet us our bus pick up the morning of Oct. 13th.
We’ll leave early the morning of Oct. 13th and make the 4-hour drive to St. Ignace, stopping halfway for a lovely wine tasting and lunch.
Then, we’ll get back on the road for about one hour and 45 minutes. Once we get to St. Ignace, Michigan we’ll take a short, beautiful 20 minute ferry ride over to the island.
When we get to the island we’ll take a private carriage ride to the resort, check in and get settled in.
Then, when own our first night on the island we’ll sit down for an included gourmet welcome dinner!
Lunch on the way home from this trip on Oct. 16 is also included.
