I’ve planned an AMAZING trip to Europe to visit some of the most famous and beautiful Christmas markets. It’s always been of dream of mine to visit the Christmas markets in Europe.

Maybe you’ve visited a Christmas market in the U.S. Get ready for the real deal!

Europen Christmas market Tour Trip Highlights

  • We’ll visit Nuremberg, Germany, to experience one of the most famous and authentic Christmas markets in Europe. In all, we’ll visit at least seven different Christmas markets in Germany and the beautiful city of Prague too!
  • We’ll shop for handmade Christmas ornaments and unique beautiful holiday gifts you won’t be able to find anywhere else.
  • We’ll enjoy lots of live holiday music.
  • Then there’s the food! The food at the European Christmas markets will be AMAZING! Bring on freshly grilled sausages, salmon grilled over an open fire, German breads and giant pretzels, and loads of homemade Christmas cookies, candies, and sweet treats!
  • Don’t forget the warm mulled German wine called Gluhwein . It’s so delicious and will keep you nice and toasty while exploring the Christkindlmarket. It’s so fun to collect the different authentic wine mugs from each market. I want to bring home all 7 of them!

Trip Dates

I’ve timed this trip so that we’ll be back in plenty of time before the holiday season gets into full swing back at home.

We’ll fly out Wednesday, November 29th, 2023, the week after Thanksgiving in the US. We’ll spend eight (8) fun-filled nights in Europe, getting home December 9th.

I’ve worked hard to make this trip a super good value! This can normally be a very expensive trip. Not mine! I’ve worked really hard to negotiate a great deal.

What To Expect

On this trip, you’ll see lots more Christmas markets than most tours.

We’ll stay in the best hotels, eat amazing food, and we’ll do some extra special things on this trip! You’ll get breakfast every morning at our hotel, three delicious multi-course lunches, two VERY special holiday dinners, a 4-hour river cruise, and more.

Day 1 – Munich, Germany

We’ll start out our trip by flying into one of my favorite cities, Munich, Germany.

It’s so beautiful! During the holidays, even more so! I was just there in Munich last summer.

I’m pretty excited about all the German food we’ll get to eat, like pork roast, potato dumplings, schnitzel and spaetzle! I’m dreaming of the giant freshly pretzels and homemade Obatzda, beer cheese spread! Oh my is it AMAZING!

We’re staying at a 4.5 star hotel in Munich in a great location, within walking distance to all places we want to visit.

I’ve arranged for some serious fun in Munich.

Upon arrival, we’ll have a big Bavarian welcome lunch at a local Brauhaus with your choice of German beer or wine. That afternoon , we’ll head to our first Christmas market of the trip.

We’ll get a private guided tour of Munich’s biggest Christmas market at the historic Marienplatz near our hotel. Then we can shop and eat at the market all night long!

Day 2 – Munich, Germany

Our next day in Munich, we can sleep in a bit and have a big breakfast at our hotel. Then, I have arranged a very special treat: we’re going on a pub crawl with a local.

He knows his Munich history, and he knows THE BEST Munich Pubs. We’ll walk with him around the Marienplatz to learn about the churches, the outdoor markets and wonderful German Pubs.

We’ll make some fun, delicious stops for German food along the way! That evening we’ll get to visit two more different Munich area Christmas markets, each very unique and special!

Day 3 – Neuschwanstein Castle & Regensburg, Germany

On our 3rd full day in Germany, we’re in for another treat! After breakfast, we’ll board our private motor coach to tour one of the most beautiful castles in the world.

The fairytale-like Neuschwanstein Castle is the inspiration for the famous Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty castles of Disney.

We’ll get to visit and tour this magical castle which is especially beautiful during winter and the holidays when the towers and mountains are often dusted with snow! I can’t wait!

After we tour the castle, we’ll head to the charming town of Regensburg, Germany.

We’ll be able to check into our hotel and then stroll around Regensburg’s romantic Christmas market. Then, it’s time for some more Christmas magic!

Regensburg is on the beautiful Danube River. Tonight we’re going to take a holiday dinner cruise on the Danube.

We’ll start our cruise with a mulled wine wine reception, on the beautiful, festively decorated Chrystal Queen river cruise boat. We’ll enjoy a 4-course holiday dinner.

There will be live Christmas music, and we’ll get to see all the beautiful sparkling holiday lights of the city from our boat ride on the Danube. It’s going to be a magical night!

Day 4 & 5 – Nuremberg, Germany

After our fun night in Regensburg, the next morning after breakfast, we’ll board our motor coach and head to Nuremberg, Germany, for two nights.

On this night, we’ll get to explore and eat our way around one of the oldest, most authentic, and biggest Christmas markets in Europe! Bring it on!

On our 2nd day in Nuremberg, we’re going to hit the town.

We’ll get a private tour of this historic city, stopping to sample the famous Nurembergerbratwurst. We’ll get to taste other treats, too, like homemade gingerbread.

That night we get to explore even more of the Nuremberg Christmas markets.


Day 6 – Dresden & Bayreuth, Germany

After Nuremberg, we’ll make our way to Dresden, Germany. Along the way, we’ll stop in the cute town of Bayreuth.

We’ll stop at a the famous German Mail’s Brauerei & Museum for a brewery tour and beer tasting. Then, we’ll stop at a local restaurant for a 3 -course lunch with wine or beer.

Tonight, we’ll get a guided tour of the Dresden Christmas market. It’s one of the world’s oldest and most beautiful Christmas markets!

Day 7 & 8 – Prague

From, Germany, we’ll head to Prague for two nights.

This is one of the most gorgeous and photogenic cities in the world! I’ve never been, and I can’t wait to see it!

We’ll see all the sights with a full city tour of Prague. We’ll also have plenty of time to explore the wonderful Christmas markets in Prague.

On our last night in Prague, we’ll be treated to a special farewell holiday dinner with delicious Czech food and a fun traditional Folklore show with authentic music and dancing.
