Chocolate Energy Bites
1 cup dry old fashioned oatmeal
1/2 cup natural peanut butter
1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (I like using the mini chips)
1/3 cup honey
2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
2 tablespoons chia seeds
1 tablespoon chocolate protein powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl until thoroughly mixed. Cover and let chill in the refrigerator for half an hour.
Once chilled, roll into 1 inch balls. Store in an airtight container and keep refrigerated for up to 1 week.
Makes about 20-25 balls.
These are great before a work out. A quick bite of sweet, chocolate and protein!
