I’m so excited to announce I’m going back to Mackinac Island, Michigan, in the summer of 2023 for Lilac Fest! Join me for four glorious nights from June 12-16th, 2023. This trip ALWAYS sells out! So, if you are interested, it’s important to book right away. It’s going to be AMAZING! Join me in the fun.

You may know that besides cooking, I love to travel! I’m now hosting culinary vacations and planning many wonderful trips for all budgets for 2023 and 2024. This trip to Mackinac Island is REALLY special! Mackinac Island is one of my favorite places. The trip is an absolute blast.

On this trip, we even added an extra night so we can have one more day on the island to sightsee, shop or just relax and hang out by the pool at our fabulous hotel. Mackinac Island is just magical. There are no cars on the island. It’s like you’ve stepped back in time. The island is filled with history, gorgeous scenery, and lots of gourmet food and wine too. Not to mention the best fudge EVER! We’ll experience it all.

We’ll come home from the vacation with new friends and memories that will last us a lifetime. Oh, and loads of fudge too! That’s what my trips are all about. Delicious food and lots of special memories! I work hard to make them extra special, stress-free, and a cut above the rest.

Plus, we’ll be there during Lilac Festival. The lilacs will be in full bloom everywhere! I’ve never seen or smelled anything like it! June is still early in the season, so the island isn’t too crowded. It’s the perfect time to visit!

On my trips, we stay at the very best hotels. The Mission Point Resort is my very favorite hotel on the island! In fact, it’s been voted one of the best resorts in the Midwest. The grounds are spectacular! There are flowers everywhere!

It’s right on the water! I love to just relax and sit on the massive lawn in an Adirondack chair and watch the freighters go by on Lake Huron. You may even get to witness a wedding on the lawn!

Our entire group will stay in the main lodge on this upcoming trip. The hotel lobby is my favorite! It’s a great place to just hang out. I love the huge fireplaces!

The hotel rooms have all recently been redone, and they are so clean, fresh, and cute! Pack a swimsuit because there are a big outdoor swimming pool and two hot tubs. There’s even a large movie theater where you can see the famous movie, Somewhere in Time, which was filmed on the island. There’s an 18-hole putting course, and no need to bring your clubs. You can use theirs. After exploring the island all day, you can unwind with a massage, facial, or pedicure in their full spa!

One of the other things I really love about Mission Point is the food! Every meal I’ve eaten has been absolutely delicious!

There’s so much to do on the island! You’ll have lots of options. One of the highlights is a sunset cocktail sail under the Mackinac Bridge. Talk about memories!

You can take a private carriage ride around the island to see Arch Rock, The Grand Hotel, and so much more!

Included in this trip is something else really special! We’ll get into the best fudge shop on the island early in the morning before they open. We’ll get to see how it’s made, which is so cool! We’ll get to sample a bunch too! On the last trip, our group even got to try the fudge warm right off the marble slab. It was so yummy!

Mackinac Island Fudge

This trip is great because it’s not too far from home, just about 4 hours from Green Bay, Wisconsin. Plus, it’s budget-friendly, with several meals included. The trip is all set for June 7-11th, 2022. A super comfy motor coach will pick us up in Green Bay. We’ll make the 4-hour drive to St. Ignace, stopping halfway for a wine tasting and a lunch of the best homemade pasties in Escanaba. Then, in St. Ignace, we’ll take the ferry over to the island. Once we get to the island, we’ll take a carriage ride to the resort, check-in, and get settled. That night, I’ll be hosting a wine and cheese welcome party at our hotel.

Then, we’ll sit down for a delicious gourmet dinner with your choice of fresh Lake Michigan Whitefish or steak.
