Skiing in the New Year

Skiing in the New Year

Happy New Year! I hope you cooked up a bunch of memories over the holidays. We sure did! It was so nice to have the whole family together! My son, Riley is home from college which is such a treat! We just got back from a week at our cottage. It was a winter wonderland up in Northern Michigan. This is a picture I took out my window.

Winter-Scene

I can’t ever remember there being this much snow this early. And, it just kept coming! Ireland and her friends hit the slopes at the Nub’s Nob ski hill in Harbor Springs. The conditions were perfect! Lots of fresh powder everyday! Every run was open. This is the first time that has happened in December since 1996.

Like the ski hills, the snowmobile trails were well groomed and ready for sleds. Bob and Riley love to snowmobile so they were loving life! We even did some snowshoeing! Hey, when winter comes and there’s that much snow you might as well get out there and enjoy it, right? Thank goodness for my Snowflake Hot Cocoa! Topped with whipped cream and crushed candy canes, It was the perfect treat to warm up with after a long winter day!
