Cooking Up a Happy Easter!

Cooking Up a Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! It’s one of my favorite holidays! It’s so special. I remember when the kids were little. I’d dress them all up in new Easter outfits. After church we’d have a big Easter egg hunt and then a big brunch!

Well, the kids are a little bigger now. They dress themselves and there are no cute pink bonnets anymore. I used to love those pastel Easter hats. Still do! Anyway, as far as Easter goes, not much else has changed. After Church, we still have an Easter egg hunt. This year with the snow it may have to be inside. Then, it’s brunch time!

I was busy this week sharing some of my favorite Easter recipes on TV in Chicago and Milwaukee. Let’s start with the ham. We just gotta have a ham on Easter. It’s like a turkey on Thanksgiving. It’s a must in our house. I have a secret to dressing it up and making it HAMTASTIC! My Brown Sugar and Mustard Ham Glaze is so easy! Everybody will love it and trust me they’ll be asking for the recipe!

Another must on Easter, Deviled Eggs! My daughter, Ireland loves them! Okay, we all do! My Ranch Deviled Eggs, that’s right, we add a little Ranch dressing, are her FAVE! Come on, who doesn’t love Ranch?

I have a few favorite potato casseroles I love to serve at Easter. My Parmesan Potato Gratin is delicious and so simple to make! Or, if you’re more into cheddar cheese my Cheddar Potatoes Au Gratin is another winner!

I love serving asparagus at Easter! Why not fire up the grill and make my Grilled Asparagus with Bacon and Feta Cheese. It’s amazing!

We always serve a nice light salad too like my Strawberry Fields Salad or my Sunny Spinach Salad with mandarin oranges. So fresh and pretty!

Finally, save room for dessert! I am a huge fan of bundt cakes! They look so pretty on your buffet! My Lemon Poppy Seed and Fudge Marble Bundt are two of my favorites! And, watch the kids light up when you bring out my Easter Basket Cupcakes! So cute! Why not get them in the kitchen to help decorate!

Here’s hoping you and your family have a wonderful weekend and very Happy Easter!!
