How ‘bout them Apples! Tweet 26th September 201326/09/13 Amy's Blog Amy Hanten 0 Comments It’s here! Every fall we get so excited about it! It’s apple season! My daughter, Ireland and I are all about it! I’ve been taking the kids to pick apples since they were really little. And, the best part is that now that they are big, they still want to go! Well, Riley is away at college so this year it was just me and Ireland. We didn’t have to go far. The Oneida Apple Orchard is right near our house. As you can see the trees were full! Red, gorgeous apples galore! Plus, it was the perfect fall day. Just a little cool but sunny and beautiful. My favorite! We picked. We laughed. And, yes we ate a few along the way. There’s nothing better than a fresh, crisp apple right off the tree. Wait, I take that back! The caramel apples inside the farm market are pretty tasty too! We left with way too many apples and a jug of fresh cider too! Not to mention, memories that I know I will always treasure! Sure hope Ireland wants to do it again next year! I know I will! Where’s your favorite place to pick apples? Please share! Now that we’ve got loads of apples, I’m trying to figure out what to do with them! From Slow Cooker Apple Pulled Pork Sandwiches to Apple Slaw and Caramel Apple Trifles. I put together some fun, new apple recipes I think your family will love! And, if you have any apple-licious recipes I’d love to feature them on my website!
