Ingredients:
Frozen bread dough rolls
Sliced pepperoni (turkey pepperoni works great for less fat)
Chunk of mozzarella cheese
Pizza sauce
Directions:
–Thaw on a cookie sheet as many frozen bread dough rolls as you like.
–Let the rolls rise to about 3″ in diameter.
–Turn each roll over so the smooth side is down and put on a small chunk of mozzarella cheese (about 1″ square and 1/4″ thick) and 3-5 slices of pepperoni (the rolls will flatten). Fold over the edges so that the rolls are sealed on the bottom, and then turn so the smooth side is up. Allow them to rise again.
–Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown (approximately 15-20 minutes depending on the your oven).
–Serve with heated pizza sauce if desired.
Notes:
These are good warm or cold, with or without sauce, and are a great snack that keep for several days in the refrigerator. This is also a great recipe for kids to help out with when preparing.
