When I first moved to Wisconsin and I had no idea what a Supper Club was. Every time I passed by one, I’d think to myself, do you have to be a member to eat there? Well now after about 28 years of being a cheese-head, I am very familiar with Wisconsin supper clubs! And, no you don’t have to be a member. Let me tell you when it comes to good food, there’s nothing better! Whenever I travel in Wisconsin, forget the chain restaurants, I want to try an area supper club. I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Schwarz’s Supper Club in St. Anna, outside Elkhart Lake. Wow!! What an experience! It’s family run place that’s been around for decades. This place is special! You can just feel it when you walk in. Be prepared to wait, especially if you go on a weekend, but it’s worth it! The Schwarz family will take good care of you! The steaks are all hand cut by Charlie Schwarz. Not many places do that anymore! Look at this bone-in ribeye! Now, that’s a steak! My dog Levi loved the leftovers! Start out your dinner with their hand cut onion rings, salad with homemade bleu cheese dressing, and I went with a baked potato as my side. The prime rib is also out of this world! Don’t forget to have one of their famous ice cream drinks for dessert! Gotta love Wisconsin and our supper clubs! I can’t wait to get back to Schwarz’s for another great dinner!
One Great Steak!
