Ingredients:
3 ½ to 4 cups quick rolled oats (I have used regular oats also)
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup corn syrup (can use honey or agave nectar)
2/3 cup margarine or butter
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 cup crunchy peanut butter
1 cup chocolate chips
2 cups rice krispies
Directions:
In large bowl, melt butter in microwave. Mix in oats, brown sugar, corn syrup and vanilla. Microwave on high for 3 minutes (use a bigger bowl as it will rise up, 8 cup glass measuring cup works well). Stir at least once to mix up when microwaving. Spread mixture in greased 9×13 pan and press down firmly. (I use wax paper on top as it is very hot)
Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter for 1 ½ minutes in microwave. Mix well and stir in rice krispies. Spread evenly over oat mixture. Cool (refrigerate) and cut.
Notes:
A very nice no-bake goody without using the oven in summer. Everyone loves these, so good. Enjoy them, if you get any.
