It was 20 years ago today that I walked down the aisle and said “I do” to Bob. Wow, times flies! Is it always roses and champagne? No, not always, but I feel pretty lucky! Speaking of champagne, we went out for dinner and ordered a bottle to celebrate our anniversary. The bottle came. We tasted it and right away I noticed it. Oops! Big Oops! We didn’t order the $200 bottle of French champagne, we ordered the $30 of California bubbly. The guy was very nice, and he took the bottle away and brought us out the stuff we ordered. But, he said, “Well, I poured you a taste, so go for it! You might as well drink it.” Yep, good stuff! But, a little over our budget. Anyway, what I’ve learned over the last 20 years is that it’s just not about the big stuff! It’s about walking the dog and having coffee with my guy. It’s about reading the newspaper or watching a movie together. I married my best friend 20 years ago and yes, I’d do it all over again. I feel very blessed this week! Congratulations and Happy Anniversary. I lost my husband of 31 years this Febuary. It was totally unexpected so NEVER take anything OR anyone for granted and dont wait for that “special” occasion to show them how much you love them. I wish you and Bob many many more years of happiness.
