No laundry to wash, no dishes to do. Once in a while you just have to hang up that apron for a girl’s weekend! What a treat! My daughter, Ireland, and I took a weekend getaway together and flew to Arizona to spend Mother’s Day with my mom and family. We felt like princesses at our hotel, The Scottsdale Princess. This place is just gorgeous! There were waterfalls like the one below and roaring fire pits all over the grounds. It was one of those resorts that you just hated to leave! Ireland loved the 5 pools. One of them even had a waterslide.
I loved getting up early, having coffee on my patio, and then taking a walk and soaking it all in. The mountains, the cottonwoods, the flowers, and birds! There’s nothing like the smell of the desert in the morning. Don’t you agree? We had some fun family dinners too! It was so great to catch up with family and friends! We can’t wait to come back! Have you ever been here? How was your Mother’s Day weekend! I’m refreshed and relaxed and ready to tackle that laundry again. Well, kind of!
