Cooking Up one of Donald Driver’s Favorites!

Betina Driver and AmyWow! What a Super Bowl! I know it’s a little tough for us football fanatics in Green Bay. The season is over. And, even tougher is that one of my favorite players is leaving the game for good. Donald Driver is announcing his retirement this week. After 14 seasons, the Packer’s all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards is calling it quits. In Green Bay it’s the end of an era.

For me, it’s good bye and good luck to a super nice guy! I’ve known him for years. His smile always brightens the room! When I’ve needed a signed jersey for a charity, he’s done it. No problem. His wife Betina and I had the opportunity to work together this fall. I helped with the cooking and recipes on a new show this season called “The Better Half”.

One of the recipes Betina and I made together is one of their family’s favorites. Now, it’s one of mine too! It’s so easy! Stuffed Chicken Breasts with bell peppers in a light mushroom sauce. Okay, so I added a little cheese to the original recipe. I think everything’s better with a little cheese, but, if you want you can leave it out.

Donald Driver and AmySo, my thank you to Donald and Betina! It sure has been fun! Thanks for cooking with me Donald and sharing your Sweet Potato Casserole recipe too! We’ll miss you and your wonderful family! Keep smiling, keep dancing, and I sure hope you all come back to visit from time to time! I can always use the company in my kitchen! The great recipes too!

    Amy:
How can you pick a favorite play and or memory of a man who thrilled his fans every time he took the field. I think what I will remeber, is the look of helplessness on the poor guy’s face as he had to sit on the sidelines for the last game of his career. Watching his beloved team struggle, without being called to duty!
