Ingredients:
½ cup sugar
¼ cup flour
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1-¾ cups milk
1 tsp almond extract
3 egg whites
¼ tsp cream of tartar
½ cup sugar
½ cup whipping cream
1 cup coconut
Directions:
Blend sugar, flour and gelatin in pan. Gradually stir in milk. Cook over medium heat until mixtue boils, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute. Place pan in cold water. Cool until mixture mounds from spoon. Blend in flavorings. Fold in meringue made of egg whites, cream of tartar and sugar. Gently fold in whipped cream. Fold in coconut. Pile into baked shell. Sprinkle with coconut.

My mom made this every year when I was growing up. Since she passed away, my family continues to expect me to make this every year for our Christmas get together.
