unpitted tart cherries
liquor of your choice ( brandy or southern comfort work best)
Fill quart canning jar with cherries. Add 1/2 to 1 cup of sugar per jar depending on sweetness desired. Fill jar with liquor and put on lid and band. Shake every couple of hour til sugar dissolves. Store in cool dry spot til Christmas. Cherries are awesome to just eat as is and liquid is great over ice cream!!! Enjoy!!
