Besides cooking I LOVE to read! I never used to! In high school I dreaded it! I’m not exactly sure when it happened but I’m hooked! I read in the bathtub, curled up on the couch, in bed, wherever and whenever I can! I used to be in a book club and it was so much fun but then it fell apart. You know, people moved away and all that jazz. I’d find myself talking to Bob about the books I was reading and although he’s a great guy, I think he was just being nice and listening. Finally, I realized he really didn’t care, I mean he hadn’t read the book so why would he!
I needed to find an outlet! That’s when I started the Fox 11 Living with Amy Book Club as part of my show. It rocks! Every month we pick a different book. All different kinds. We’ve read some of the most amazing books! The fun part is sharing our thoughts about the books and getting everybody else’s point of view. Sometimes I fall in love with the book even that much more after learning from others who read it. Oh, and the snacks at my book club are pretty nice too! Join us sometime. It’s free and so much fun!
