One Good Cup ‘o Joe! Tweet 22nd April 201222/04/12 Amy's Blog Amy Hanten 0 Comments Did you ever dream about a cup of coffee? I’m dreaming of the cup o’ joe I had a couple weeks ago. Is this a beauty or what? I was in the Chicago area for one of my daughter Ireland’s dance competitions. The key to my survival during these competitions is a good cup of coffee (or two) in the morning before the madness begins. if you’ve ever been to one of these dance competitions, you know what I’m talking about! LOL!! Anyway, I always like to look for something a little different. I can get Starbucks at home. I ask around and try to find those special little coffeehouses. Guess what? I found one! I walked in and I knew I struck gold! One look at the bakery case and yep, this was going to be good. From big flakey croissants, to muffins, and huge blueberry scones. I just had to have one of those! Delish! Ireland ordered a warm bagel and egg sandwich and a hot cocoa. One sip of that cocoa and she said, “Mom, the whipped cream on top has vanilla and cinnamon in it. It’s amazing”. Then, it was my turn. They called out “caramel latte extra hot”. That’s mine! There it was! One of the prettiest cups of coffee I’ve ever seen! I just had to snap a picture and show it to the other “dance moms”. They asked, “How did they do that? Did they use a stencil?” Nope! It’s called latte art. It’s pretty cool, isn’t it? I have no idea how they do it but, I do know I can’t wait to go back for another cup some time. It not only looked good, it was one of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever tasted. If you ever get to St. Charles, Illinois, be sure to stop at Arcedium Coffeehouse. You’ll be glad you did! Where’s your favorite place to go for coffee? I’m always looking for that next great cup o ‘joe! Keep checking back! I’ll let you know if I find another one!
