When Life Gives You Apples! Tweet 26th September 201626/09/16 Amy's Blog Amy Hanten 0 Comments It’s here! I love September! Every fall we get so excited about apple season! My daughter, Ireland and I are all in! I’ve been taking the kids apple picking since they were really little. My teenage daughter, Ireland still wants go. So cool! It’s bushels of fun! Sure hope that never changes! We don’t have to go far. The Oneida Apple Orchard is right near our house. This years crop looks pretty good! We always pick way too many! You too? No worries! I can help you use up those red beauties! Slice them up and make my Caramel Apple Dip! The kids will go crazy over it! Another winner is my Snickers Dip. That’s right! It’s got candy bars in it! Can you say AMAZING? I serve it with pretzels, graham crackers and fresh apples slices for dipping. So good! I love to use apples in salads too! My Apple Slaw and Apple Gorgonzola Salad make a great start to a fall dinner! Speaking of dinner, why not treat the family to something special this fall! Get out your crockpot and make my Slow Cooker Apple Pulled Pork Sandwiches or Apple Cranberry Pork Roast this fall. Pork and apples go so well together! I grew up eating pork chops and applesauce! You remember that Brady Bunch episode, right? Lol! Speaking of apple sauce, forget the stuff in the jar! Have you ever made homemade apple sauce? My Slow Cooker Apple Sauce is easy breezy to make! Just dump apples and a few other ingredients in there and you’re done. It’s so delicious! Added bonus, your house will smell amazing! For breakfast wake up to my Slow Cooker Apple Oatmeal. It does it’s thing while you’re sound asleep! You wake up and breakfast is done! Gotta love that! My Applesauce Streusel Muffins are a great way to start the day too! They are my daughter, Ireland’s fave! For dessert, you just gotta make my Easy Apple Crisp and my Amazing Apple Cake this fall! Or, jazz up a boxed cake mix and make my Apple Cider Cupcakes! Oops! I almost forgot. To warm you up by the fire there’s nothing better than sipping my hot Mulled Cranberry AppIe Cider or Caramel Apple Cider. So have fun and get a little apple crazy this fall! And, if you have any apple-licious recipes, please share! I’d love to feature them on my website!
